Stella Artois wanted to do something nice, so we came up with the idea of Buy a Lady a Drink.
Women around the world spend over 200 million hours a day collecting water for their families, and we wanted to help give them that time back.
We designed limited edition chalices based on items from India, Ethiopia and Honduras and the proceeds of each chalice provide a woman in that country with clean drinking water for 5 years.
To date, the project has given more than one million women access to clean drinking water and has become Stella Artois' ongoing charitable initiative.
Matt Damon, co-founder of water.org, launched the project at the Sundance Film Festival.
The chalice designs were based on a vase from Honduras, a hand woven basket from Ethiopia and a fabric from India.
